Changelog

What shipped, and when.

Every release, in plain words. Newest first.

1.0.5In review

  • Allergies are checked ingredient by ingredient. Shellfish rules out shrimp and crab, Dairy rules out cheese and butter, Gluten rules out flour and soy sauce. Halal and kosher are enforced on every recipe.
  • Strict diets get a full week. A meal that breaks one of your rules is replaced, not left empty.
  • Watch your week pack itself into the Instacart cart, and tell BiteBop when the order went through so next week knows what's in your kitchen.
  • A new animated grid fills in your 28 meals while your week is built, with a clear "Try again" if anything goes wrong.
  • The calorie ring animates as you log and celebrates when you hit your target. BiteBop now follows Dark Mode.

1.0.4Live

  • Fixes "Unable to add items to Instacart cart". Your list now reaches Instacart in the units its app understands, so one tap adds the whole week to your cart again.

1.0.3Live

  • Add anything to your shopping list. Type avocados, coffee, paper towels, whatever you need, and it joins the list in the right aisle and goes to Instacart with the rest.
  • Take items off, change quantities, and put them back with one tap. Your edits stay until the week changes.
  • Better diagnostics, so if onboarding or plan generation fails we can see where and help faster.

1.0.2Live

  • Logging a meal by accident is fixed. A short swipe now shows a Log button to confirm; only a long, deliberate swipe logs directly. Every log has a five-second Undo, and a logged meal can be unlogged from its recipe sheet.
  • Over your target for the day? The ring now shows how far over you are instead of "0 remaining."
  • Once you send a week to Instacart, the Plan and Shop tabs show it as ordered, with one tap back to your cart or to rebuild the list.
  • Profile photos, from the Profile screen.

1.0.1

  • Forgot your password? You can now reset it from the sign-in screen.
  • The Shop tab stays empty until you approve your week, so the list always matches what you agreed to cook.
  • Goal logic: maintain and recomp goals no longer ask for a target weight; the forecast holds at your goal instead of cutting past it.
  • Fixes from the first round of tester feedback: chart labels no longer clip, the shopping list merges duplicate ingredients and drops pantry staples.

1.0, on the App Store

  • BiteBop is live in the United States, free.
  • Tell it your goal, get your date, get a week of USDA-validated meals, and send the groceries to Instacart in one tap.
  • Sex and birth date step added to onboarding so the metabolism model is yours, not an average. 18 and over.

Instacart production approval

  • Instacart approved BiteBop's production key on the Instacart Developer Platform. The Shop button now opens real Instacart pages with every item matched.
  • Breakfasts are breakfasts: the planner tags every recipe by meal slot, so a curry never lands at 8 a.m.

Beta

  • Sign in with Apple and Google.
  • First TestFlight builds to friends and family. Thank you for the honest feedback; most of 1.0.1 came from it.
